It all started Sunday. My son said he wasn’t feeling well and stayed in bed - all day long. On Monday, he was running a fever, so we took him in to see the doc. Type A flu.

By Monday night, I wasn’t feeling well. Tuesday morning I went to see the doc. Type A flu.

My wife started coughing this morning. Now she’s running a fever too. I’m betting it’s type A flu. The only one who isn’t sick is my daughter. She’s been avoiding us like we have the plague. I’m hoping she doesn’t get it too.

Oh, and in case you are wondering, all three of them got the flu shot this year. I’m the only one who didn’t.

But, I hope you and your family are all feeling better soon! We had a bug going around my office, thankfully half of us have been able to avoid it so far.

Hopefully everyone feels better soon! Keep those fluids flowing.

My two sisters, my mum, and myself all got sick with the stomach flu one time. Thank goodness our house had four bathrooms (and that in most of them, the bathtub was right beside the toilet).

Damn. Sorry to hear that. My oldest spent last night and today in bed puking. At least I was one and done. I hope nobody else gets it, but we were all in very close proximity. I blame Nola. Feel better.

I didn’t get the shot either.

I’m drowning in tea. Hot herbal tea for the cough, iced black tea for the fever.

That corolla looks like a lot of fun for $300. I spent more taking the family to ComiCon!

I’m hoping my son wasn’t contagious when we met. If you picked it up, you’d know it by now! Thankfully, the one we got isn’t making us nauseous. Just the standard fever, chills, body aches, etc.

Add this as another reason to avoid  NOLA!

That IS a funny car. Hope the shot does you well. Prepare to fee l a little ill  for a few days. That’s what the shot always does to me. It’s one of the reasons I avoided it this year.

Sorry to hear that :( My son has the Type A right now. Started having symptoms on Sunday. Got Tamiflu Monday but he had a reaction to it and started throwing up like crazy. He seems to be starting to really feel better today, but now my wife is probably coming down with it. We’ve kept my daughter as away as we can and she’s been fine so far. Anyway, some things I found funny from my camera roll:

That F-150 - was the paint actually bedliner?

I’m taking the Tamiflu, but my wife and kids had a bad reaction to it the last time, so my son isn’t taking it and when my wife gets diagnosed, I’m sure she’ll refuse it too. Anyway, good luck to you and your family! Hope everyone comes through this ok!

Haha those go back to 2016. My wife is terrible this morning. I have my own doctor’s appointment for something unrelated then I’m taking her. She wants to try the Tamiflu but I’m guessing she’s going to react to it.

https://www.cdc.gov/flu/protect/keyfacts.htm The CDC has lots of info about the flu vaccines, this years vaccine is only about 10% effective because the type a h3n2 is having a big year. Part of it is that we use chicken eggs to replicate the viruses for the vaccine but they mutate so rapidly that the end virus is different than the virus were trying to train our bodies to have antibodies ready for.

It’s some sort of virus to be sure. And that’s as much a candidate as any other, especially since we were traveling and spent a day at ComiCon with 3,000 of our closest friends.

The good news is she can stop take NG the tamiflu if she has a reaction to it. Tell her to take the first one with food. It helps. Good luck!

Oh that F150 was just flat black spray paint with what appeared to be zero prep. I did see a newer F150 more recently that was coated in bedliner though.
